I've attempted to update twice in the last week and it didn't work out either time. The first time, I had just finished writing a really long post and I lost it somehow and the second time I got interrupted and lost it. Hopefully, it will work this time.
I'm still very, very pregnant, and not enjoying it much. All the way through the second trimester, I was like, "Oh, this isn't so bad! And time is just flying!" That all ended when I hit the third trimester. I am so uncomfortable, there are times when I tell Chad that this is going to be our only child. And I can't believe how slow the weeks pass! I feel like I should be at about 135 weeks, not 35. I'm just very ready for her to come out. Only two more weeks until she's full-term and she's been measuring big, so hopefully, she'll come out before 40 weeks.
There are just three things I really need/want to get done before she comes:
1) I'm trying to finish up shopping for all the things I need before she's born. I was going to buy nursing nightgowns at Wal-Mart for $11.96, but I found some cute ones on Ebay that I'm bidding on and I put $11.96 (including shipping) as my maximum bid, so hopefully I'll get them cheaper than the Wal-Mart price. I'm also bidding on a newborn-size, hand-crocheted white sweater/bonnet set for her to wear over her coming-home outfit. With Kansas weather, who knows whether it will be warm or cold and the outfit is short-sleeved, so I wanted to make sure she had something to wear over it. And then I have a few other things that I can get at Wal-Mart.
2) I'm also trying to get my cross-stitched birth sampler done before she comes. I'm a little over half done and I know if I put some time into it everyday, I can easily get it done before she comes (as long as she comes at or after 37 weeks).
3) And I need to address the envelopes for her birth announcements to make it easier to send them out after she's born. We decided to make our own and we're going to try our hands at vellum ones. I already ordered everything we need for them, but we can't really do anything ahead of time (except the envelopes) because they have to be printed before we put them together.
As soon as I get all that done, I'm completely ready for her to be born!
Other than getting ready for the baby, not much is going on around here. Chad has gotten a few new accounts in the last few weeks, so that's always nice.
We decided to give Buddy a bath last night. He hadn't had one in awhile, since everything I've read said to bathe labs as little as possible since their skin is so dry. But he was sooooo dirty, so we spent about 45 minutes giving him a bath and combing all the loose hair out of his coat. It trashed the bathroom, of course, but at least he didn't shake on his way through the house to go outside. He's so fluffy now.
Well, we need to head to church pretty soon, so I'd better get off the computer. I will probably have new belly pictures up tomorrow!
