Well, it turns out that the teething issues Ava was having last week were not only teething issues…she also had an ear infection. I started thinking it might be an ear infection on Sunday night so I called the doctor first thing on Monday morning and sure enough, it was a full-blown ear infection. She just finished 7 days of amoxicillin, though, so she’s feeling a lot better now!

So it’s been a pretty rough week dealing with that and then locking my keys and my phone in the house on Friday (long story..it was horrible). Hopefully this next week will be better,

One nice thing that happened last week, though, was that Kim and Rob stopped by our house on their way home from Oklahoma. It was really nice to see them, even though they couldn’t stay long.

I’ve got to get going….Ava’s in bed and there are a few things left to cross off on my to-do list!

I know that quite a few of the people who regularly visit my blog have their own businesses or are in a situation where they would need logo design. I was very impressed with this site. Here is what I was able to create in less than five minutes!

It was so easy and there were so many different pictures to choose from! You can choose different colors and fonts and make the picture or name bigger or smaller. Once you tweak it to get it exactly the way you want it, you can turn it into a high-quality business card.

Hope everyone had a great Sabbath today. We ended up missing church because Ava has a cold and is teething. She’s pretty miserable. Hopefully those top teeth will poke through soon, though!

Since we weren’t going to church today and didn’t have anything pressing that needed to be done, we started working on getting Ava to nap in her crib. Normally she naps in our bed, but she’s started sitting up and crawling when she wakes up, so that’s coming to an end. It took literally two hours and me hanging over the side of her crib that whole time so she could hold my hand, but she finally took about a 2-hr nap in there! And she’s actually sleeping in there right now, too (although she was already asleep when I put her in there)! Hopefully today was the worst of it and it will get better from here! We’ll still have her start the night out in her crib and then let her come in our bed when she wakes up, but we’re hoping that this will make the transition to sleeping only in her crib easier later.

She’s getting to be a very busy little girl. I can’t get anything done unless she’s making a mess somewhere. Sometimes I wonder why I even try to get anything done when I’m just going to have more messes to clean up because of it. She’s learned how to open drawers and cupboards now, too. The other day, she opened the cupboard under the entertainment center, emptied it and crawled in. LOL

Well, I need to keep moving. This is a very, very busy month for the business and I still have so much I haven’t done yet.

If you need some luggage or your luggage has seen better days, you should check out these great luggage sets . I’ve looked around a little on the site and they have some really nice luggage for sale. I know Chad’s not too fond of our hot pink luggage (he’s man enough to carry it though!)…I’ll have to show him this site!

The current site I’m advertising for is OK, but I’ve been looking for a little bit more. And I think I might have found it! In the weeks ahead, I will hopefully start doing some advertising on here for http://www.blogsvertise.com/ . If you’re interested in earning a little more cash, you should look into it too! They give you assignments, you write about them on your blog and then you get paid for it! This is honestly the easiest money I’ve ever earned in my life and it really helps to cover all those extras that I can’t justify paying for out of our paychecks.

Maybe you have the same problem we’ve encountered lately. The plasma TV just doesn’t look quite right on an ordinary TV stand. Chad thinks it looks fine of course, but I beg to differ. What we need is a plasma lift console .This thing is awesome! It has drawers and cupboards…and the VCR and other stuff can even be inside the cupboards and the remote will still work!

…since I updated!

Ava’s crawling all over the place now! She does a funny little crawl with one leg bent behind her when she’s on hardwood, but when she’s on carpet, she knows how to crawl the normal way. She’s all over the place, though. Yesterday, I had her in the office with me and she crawled into her room (there was a gate over the stairs, so I knew she couldn’t get to them), opened her dresser drawer and emptied all of her pajamas out. And of course, she couldn’t just empty it, she had to unfold all of them, too!

Even though her birthday is still 2.5 months away, I’m already starting to think about it. I’ve even got a list of things I want to get for her already.

Her bedroom is almost done! I bought her bedding set last week and we have that all set up. All that’s left is the mobile to go above her crib and the painting. I’m hoping to have the painting done by the end of the month, but it might not get done until next month.

Other than that, there’s not much else going on. The business is staying pretty much the same. Chad got some new sales, but then lost a few accounts around New Years, so it all evened out. It’s better than losing the accounts without having the new ones to make up for it, though.

Time to keep moving….I’m not feeling 100% today, but it IS naptime and there’s still things to do…

Anyone who knows me knows I used to be a huge coffee drinker. I quit drinking it when I was pregnant with Ava, and I probably would be drinking it again if it weren’t for the fact that coffee gives me such awful jitters now. It’s probably for the best, though. If you’re a coffee drinker, you know the importance of having just the right pot. There are so many different coffee makers …hopefully this site can help you find the perfect pot for you!
