Mobile Router

If you’re a computer geek (LOL), I’m sure you know what a mobile router is. You’ll have to clue me in. But if you know what it is and find yourself needing one, be sure to check out this site. Even though I know nothing about computers and stuff like this, I can tell that they’ve got a lot to offer!

Vegas Hotel

I’ve never been to Las Vegas, even though I’m finally old enough to gamble (I haven’t though  ), but if I ever did, I’d definitely want to stay at a hotel in Vegas . This is a great site to look for one! If you ever go, you should look at staying here (and taking me! LOL). After looking at this site, I think we’ll have to book a trip someday.

Dubai

Are you hoping to take a vacation soon? Are you trying to find someplace overseas? You should definitely check out property in Dubai ! Not only do they have awesome vacation spots, they also advertise investment properties…so if after your vacation, you really love it there, you can buy property and stay as long as you like! If any of this sounds at all interesting, you really have to take a look at this site…it looks absolutely beautiful!! Plus, there are different laws there, which remove a lot of the taxes you would have to face if you owned the same property here! You should definitely go take a look!!

First Belly Pictures!

Here are my very first belly pictures for this pregnancy, taken today at exactly 8 weeks. I don’t know if you guys can tell, but it’s definitely a bit rounder than it used to be. It’s definitely true that you start showing sooner with your second because everything is already stretched out…I felt like I started showing about 5 minutes after I got my positive pregnancy test! Not really, but it was early!

By the way, ignore the stretch marks (Ava’s masterpiece) and the pajamas (I’m still sick).

I’m not going to have my belly pictures in a photobucket yet…I’m just going to post them here until I get my ultrasound to find out what we’re having. Then I’ll make another photobucket account with the baby’s name and put them in there.

ETA: I don’t know why it’s cutting out my back in the first picture….I posted them somewhere else and it didn’t…it’s probably the template.

Camping Gear

Do you enjoy camping trips every summer? I know most of the members of Chad’s family like to go up North every summer and camp for a long weekend. We went once and enjoyed it, but things have gotten in the way every summer since then. If you enjoy camping too, you definitely need camping gear ! Be sure to check this site out!

Home Theater Seating

Have you been chipping away at creating your own home theater? I know we have. Well, Chad has anyway. It all started with the big screen TV…and now we have plenty of other smaller machines that I have no idea what they do. I know eventually he wants to get surround sound speakers, too. Well, if you’re busy on your home theater, too, you definitely need leather home theater seating ! Be sure to check this out!

Well, now that I told you all about Ava’s sickness….Chad’s caught it, too. He’s been sick since Sunday morning. So far, I’ve managed to escape it, though.

Even though this isn’t the stomach flu and Ava didn’t show any signs of an upset stomach, Chad ended up with baby puke all over his head last night. He was giving her a ride on his shoulders and he leaned over my dresser so she could look at herself in the mirror and she puked ALL OVER his head!! When I heard him yell, “Aw, sick!! She puked on my head!”, I expected just a little spot of spit-up since she barely ever spits up anymore….but no, it was dripping off his hair and there was a HUGE puddle on my dresser. Luckily, he wasn’t too upset that I couldn’t stop laughing. LOL

Barcelona

Are you planning on traveling in or near Spain anytime soon? Have you considered visiting Barcelona? From what I’ve heard, the Hotels in Barcelona are the best of all the Spanish hotels!! If we were ever able to travel to that part of the world, we would definitely be making a stop here and staying in at least one of the many Barcelona hotels! This site gives you a list of all the possible accommodations in Barcelona including Gran Teatre del Liceu, Casa Batllo, Montjuic Park and Castle, and Santa Maria del Pi …this is the only site you’d need for planning your trip to Spain!

Well, we did not have a good day today. In fact, we spent a good part of it in the ER.

On Wednesday, Ava had a playdate with a little girl who came down with the flu the next day. So Ava was definitely exposed to it. Of course, about an hour after I found this out (this was yesterday), she started running a fever. It continued through the night and we all had a HORRIBLE night’s sleep!

This morning, we were debating whether or not the fever was high enough to take her in to the ER when she decided to fall off our bed. I was downstairs making her bottle so she could take a nap and Chad was watching her. She decided to throw her nuk off the bed and dive after it and Chad couldn’t catch her in time. It started swelling immediately even though I put a bag of frozen corn on it (which made her cry even more). I called our Ask a Nurse line and told them about both of her problems and the nurse I talked to was leaning toward telling me to just keep an eye on everything until he asked how big the bump was. I told him it was 1.5 – 2 inches. He asked if I was sure it was over an inch in diameter and I said yes, it definitely was. So then he told me we should go to the ER.

So we did….we waited for about 3 hours just to see a stupid nurse practicioner (no, we didn’t even get to see a DOCTOR!!) who was more concerned with giving a nurse child-rearing advice right outside our room for 5 minutes before she came in than she was with our baby. She basically just glanced at the bump, asked if she lost consciousness at all, and then said the bump was fine. Then she said the flu test was negative, checked Ava’s ears (she didn’t even let me put her down on the table to check her ears….which resulted in me holding Ava and her practically pinning both of us up against the wall so she could look in her ears) and said to control the fever with ibuprofen or tylenol (which I was already doing). She didn’t even check her mouth or throat or nose or anything. I’m very skeptical about the results of that flu test…it’s just too coincidental that she was exposed to a confirmed case of the flu on Wednesday, came down with something that involved a high fever on Friday, and it’s not the flu?? Needless to say, I’m definitely making an appointment with Ava’s doctor first thing on Monday to make sure everything really is OK.

So that was how we spent our Saturday.

Caribbean Cruise

Are you looking for ideas for your next vacation? Have you considered caribbean cruises ? I’ve never been on one, but that’s a trip I definitely plan on talking Chad into someday. I can’t think of a more romantic, relaxing vacation (as long as we have someone at home to watch Ava!). You should check out this site and see all the great deals they’re offering!
