With the number of websites devoted to the topic of acne , it’s pretty obvious that it’s a big problem for many people. Well, so far this Labor Day weekend, we have done absolutely NOTHING exciting (except a quick shopping trip this morning to buy what we need to pack our hospital bag). I don’t know how I can be so tired from doing nothing, though! It’s sad, it really is. I’m going to blame the heat for my lack of energy and motivation…our nice cool temps and low humidity are definitely gone!
My mom said frost is predicted for their part of WI tonight (I think)! Can you believe that? It’s still August!! I’m not counting on us getting any frost for quite awhile…as I remember, it was still hot well into October last year. I’m just hoping it cools down before the baby comes.

I’m 35 weeks pregnant today! I haven’t gotten belly pictures yet, but I definitely plan to tomorrow. It’s going so fast! I can’t believe we’re almost done! It’s really scary thinking that he could possibly be here in as little as 2 weeks! I’m actually predicting that he’ll be late, though. First of all, the due date I calculated based on my cycle is actually 2 days after the date that the doctor gave me. And second, our ultrasound with Ava said she’d be about a week early and she was…and all our ultrasounds with this baby have said he’ll be 3-4 days late. And I have to admit that I’m kind of hoping he will be late. I still have so much that I want to get done. I don’t have much left that I *have* to do (except pack my hospital bag, which I’m going to work on this week), but I have a lot of things I’d *like* to get done so I don’t have to worry about them after he’s born. Plus, I also wouldn’t mind if he’s late because it’s gone so fast and I don’t feel like it should be over yet.

I really like deer. In fact, I like them so much that when we go to the Dells, we try to take Ava to the deer park there. She loves being able to pet the deer and have them follow her around. But I only like them in places like that where they can’t do any harm. I definitely DON’T like them in or near the road. And I don’t have a garden, but I’m sure I wouldn’t appreciate them anywhere near my garden, either! I’ve heard from others who garden that deer can really do irreparable damage to your plants and trees. I’m pretty sure if I had deer destroying my garden, I wouldn’t like them nearly as much as I do now!!
But for those who don’t like deer near their gardens, landscaping and other plants, there are safe solutions (safe for both our families and for the deer). Probably the easiest solution is deer repellent. This site offers quite a few different chemical solutions to keep the deer away from your plants. Another solution would be to choose plants that deer aren’t interested in. There is a list of those plants on this site as well. If you’re committed to taking care of your garden in a way that is safe for the deer, make sure you take a look at this site!
