Ava had her 18-month doctor appointment today. She is about 27 pounds (she had her shoes on, so they just estimated her weight), and is 33 inches tall! So that puts her in the 85th percentile for weight and the 95th for height. She’s a tall little girl!

Unfortunately, she remembered the doctor’s office and she freaked out as soon as she got back in the room. After the nurse left and we were waiting for the doctor, she kept trying to escape. She was able to open the door on her own and she would go running into the hall in just her diaper. She was really whiny the whole time, but she ended up doing OK except when the doctor wanted to look in her ears (she hates that!).

Sawyer remembers his shots, too. He always gets upset as soon as walk into the doctor’s office.

Isn’t it amazing that kids at such a young age can remember the places they don’t like to be, even if they’ve only been there a few times?
