Yikes! I can’t believe our first Thanksgiving guests will be getting here in two days. I don’t know how I’m going to get the house clean and start the cooking before that. I guess it would probably help if I was doing that instead of writing blog posts, but I’m just so tired this morning! Kelvin had two horrible nights in a row (Thursday and Friday) and even though last night was better, I’m still exhausted. And Chad was asking why my eyes were all bloodshot. Probably because I was up every 20 minutes for two nights in a row!

Today my goals are to go to Walgreens to take advantage of some of their sales going on this week, wash diapers and regular laundry and hopefully do at least something on the house. Hopefully Kelvin will continue to like his Peanut Shell (baby sling) today because he was in it quite a bit yesterday and he cried every time I took him out of it. I guess he just likes being so close to Mommy. :)

Tanning Beds

If you tan, have you ever thought about looking into Home Tanning Beds ? I’ve only tanned a few times in my life and one reason I didn’t stick with it was because it was such a pain to have to go somewhere for just those few minutes of tanning. I think I would be a lot more likely to use it often if I could get Tan Beds right in my house!

I actually got Kelvin’s birth announcements done and sent out this morning…finally!! I am so relieved to have that crossed off my list! Now on to starting to fill out Kelvin’s baby book….I have everything I want to put in it so far, but it’s all just sitting in a pile on top of it. So I guess I’d better get started on that this weekend!

By the way, make sure you scroll down and take a look at Kelvin’s 2-month pictures!

Skateboards

I know there is going to be a lot of gift buying going on in the next month or so and I’m sure everyone has a few people on their list who they have no idea what to buy for!!! For me, this would be teenage boys (actually any male over the age of about 8). If you’re the same way, I’ve found a great idea for you! You should consider buying the teenagers on your list a skateboard complete! I don’t know of any teenage boy who wouldn’t like a skateboard, do you? And even if you don’t know anything about skateboards, this site will help you make the perfect decision!

We got Kelvin’s 2-month pictures done this morning. It was a horrible experience thanks to the kids, so I know these pictures aren’t all that great, but under the circumstances I’m thrilled with them. The only thing that made the whole thing worth it was that I got $58 worth of pictures for $6!! The guy who rang our order up was new and he knew he made a mistake (I had a 20% coupon, but 80% of $58 isn’t $6! LOL), but he didn’t know what it was, so he just gave it to me for that price. I was a little bummed when we got home, though, because Chad wanted me to order another picture and since I called it in, they charged me an extra $10 (on top of the price of the picture), but I still got an awesome deal! When it’s all said and done, I got $73 worth of pictures for $21. Not too shabby!

Anyway, here are the pictures:

Water Restoration

I don’t think there are many people who are dealing with worse water problems than my parents have been for the last month. Between their sewer pipe problems and their water pipe problems, they have been without plumbing for almost 2 months and without water for part of that time (I think). Along with that, they had standing sewer water in their basement for at least part of that time. Too bad they didn’t know about water restoration 911! This company has emergency services that can be at your home or business in less than 30 minutes in almost any area of the continental US! This would be a good number to have on your fridge, just in case!

FINALLY!!!!!

Kelvin has finally slowed down on his weight gain!! He only gained an ounce a day for the last week. He weighs 14 lbs, 3 oz now! I was a little worried that he’d be bigger than Myra by Thanksgiving, but if his weigh gain stays like this, hopefully he’ll still be slightly smaller than her! LOL

Treadmills

Like I said yesterday, Chad and I finally made it to the gym yesterday! I spent most of our workout time on the treadmill…I was just too intimidated by the number of weight machines they had since I didn’t know what any of them did. It was probably for the best anyway, since the treadmill will probably do more to help me get rid of all this baby fat! If you’re thinking about buying a small folding treadmill, make sure you take a look at this site! This is your ultimate guide to helping you buy a treadmill!

Ava has now learned Chad’s and my first names. We found out that she knew how to say them last Sunday, but since then she’s been using them more and more. Tonight she was in the dining room eating her supper and I went into the kitchen to heat up more potatoes for her and she couldn’t see me, so she started yelling, “Lora! Lora!” And anytime I tell her to go tell Daddy it’s time for supper, she always yells, “CHAD!” (except she pronounces it like “Shah!”…it’s so cute!). Pretty much anytime she’s calling for us, she uses our first names. LOL

Schumacher Homes

If you’re like Chad and me, you have a dream to be able to build your own home someday. We love the house we’re in now, but there’s just nothing like being able to have a home that fits our family exactly and has everything we want and nothing we don’t! If you feel the same way, you should check and see if Schumacher Homes designs homes in your state! You could have them design the perfect home for you and since they’re the best in the business, you’d know it would be done right! Go on over to their site and check out the latest news and happenings there!
