Tomorrow I plan to take Kelvin in to get him weighed….it’s been almost two weeks and I’m really curious to see how much weight he’s gained now. According to our scale, he’s almost 17 pounds (and that was a few days ago), but I don’t know how accurate that is.
One thing that’s really nice about him being so big is that Ava can’t pick him up. Everyone always says to be so careful that she doesn’t pick him up and try to carry him around…but she literally can’t! He’s over half as big as her! She puts her arms under him and tries to stand up (like she’s trying to lift a barbell), but she can’t even get him off the blanket or whatever he’s laying on. Of course, I still don’t leave her alone with him, because there are other ways she could accidentally hurt him, but I think it’s so funny that she can’t even move him!

That is nice. I know Sophia can’t pick up Joshua either. The thing she likes to do now is jump around him on the bed when he’s laying down. I have to ask her all the time not to do that because I’m afraid she’s going to fall on him. =)

Sawyer likes to pick Andi up and he is able to. He has to squeeze her sooo tight and then she starts to cry. He also likes to jump/bounce around by her head. We are constantly telling him to sit down when he is by her.

Maybe his being so big and weighing so much at his age is a bigger blessing in disguise that we think. All that poundage is his protection
