I hate sitting here staring at a blank blog post. I know I had plenty of post ideas over the last few days, but I can’t think of a single thing to say right now.

I’m just glad it’s quiet right now so I can actually hear myself think. It’s incredible how much noise two little people can make! Especially since my mom let us borrow a toy drum and toy piano (among other things) for while we’re here at my grandparents’ house. Those two can get quite a duet going (makes me hopeful that they’ll do well with piano lessons in a few years!).

Oh, and I found my bridesmaid dress for my friend Sarah’s wedding at the end of the month. She has two bridesmaids and she said we could each pick our own dresses (they don’t have to match). The only thing she wanted was for them to be chocolate brown (their wedding colors are brown and blue)…other than that, they could be long, short, sleeves, no sleeves, whatever. And they didn’t have to be too fancy…she said they could be $20 for all she cared. Now that’s my kind of bridesmaid dress!!

I decided I’d better find it while I was up here in WI because life is going to be crazy when I get back home. So I spent about 3 hours looking online yesterday…couldn’t find anything that screamed, “Me! I’m the ONE!” I did find one I really liked, but it was $70 and more than I wanted to spend. Chad told me to go ahead and buy it anyway, but when I got it into checkout, it turned out they didn’t even have one in my size. It was for the best anyway. We ended up going to the mall and went into a few stores, but didn’t find much. Finally, we went into JC Penney and THERE WAS THE ONE!!! It was $50 and I didn’t really want to spend more than $40, but I was willing to go over my limit for that dress. BUT…it turned out it was 50% off so I got it for only $25! I’m so happy I was able to find this dress….it’s very similar to the dress here (but not exactly the same…for instance, on mine there’s a built-in bra and then the halter straps are a sheer fabric), except in chocolate brown. It’s definitely going to be dressy enough for the wedding, but I’ll also be able to wear it for other things…church, dressy dinners, etc. Like I said, that’s my kind of bridesmaid dress!

And it’s going to be absolutely adorable with these shoes (in the brown, of course). I think I might love the shoes even a tiny bit more than the dress. LOL I didn’t have the buy the shoes (I already had some that would have matched), but they were just too cute to pass up.

So there is the highlight of my week. I hope you enjoyed hearing about it! LOL
