My sister's boyfriend stopped over unexpectedly and my house was a mess. I apologized and he said, "Like I care if your house is messy." I guess that is true . . . I don't really care when I visit other people if there are toys laying around or a couple baskets of laundry sitting in the corner. Real people, have 'lived in' houses. Also, it is impossible for your house to be spotless unless you tie your children to a chair or have Chad remove them from the home for a couple days. You spend an hour or more cleaning one room and the kids trash it in two minutes. That's what kids do :) It is hard for us neat freaks to handle this but we have to learn. LOL!

By the way, Ava won't know that you didn't go over board on her b-day so just go simple. She will probably just be excited that she gets to blow out a candle. LOL!
